Even during COVID, some of our family was able to experience traveling this year. Nancy Luster Neal flew to Honolulu, Hawaii in September with her daughter Tanyell Nava, and grandson Toney Orr. The trip included a Luau, a Polynesian Cultural Center experience, traveling through the Kualoa Ranch in an RV, and staying at a hotel with an awesome view. They ate local cuisine and traveled around the island. It was an amazing trip set up by Tanyell, who made sure that they were safe with sanitizer, hand wipes and masks. Aloha and Mohala!

Danyell Luster, the daughter of Stephanie Luster and granddaughter of Rev. Clifford Luster Sr. is working as an Editor Researcher for Previously Pluto, a new indie game company in Philadelphia, USA. On December 10th 2021, Danyell helped launched a new film noir style card game titled The Big Shuffle with a Kickstarter campaign. They raised over $20,000 with over 400 backers within less than a month! Congrats Danyell!

For Thanksgiving, Larry Luster, his wife Cheryl, and their daughter Danessa traveled down to Tennessee from Cape Cod! They stayed the week and the weather was great. Danessa took a trip to Atlanta and visited the Coca Cola museum. Thanksgiving was great, with a touch of the North and South combined. Larry got his ham hock and turnip greens!

Joyelle Wood’s son, Larry Luster’s grandson, Izaiah “Zay” Snow started his Freshman year at Western Brown High School in Mt. Orab, OH. He worked hard at football camp over the summer to play defensive end for the WB Broncos. The Broncos had a great season and for the first time in school history made it to the Elite 8. Wrestling season has started and Zay is very excited to be wrestling on the varsity team as a freshman. He is looking forward to the spring where he will again join the WB Bronco's track team.

Joyelle‘s older son Tariq Hassan moved from Boston to Buffalo, New York this year to study at the Islamic Seminary Darul Uloom Al-Madania. His classes are tough but very rewarding. He is looking forward to braving his first winter in Buffalo. Stay warm, and bundle up!

There was also a big wedding up North this year. Larry Luster’s youngest son, Caleb Luster got married in Truro, Massachusetts on October 5th, 2021. We’d like to welcome Caleb‘s wife Shelby into the Luster Family!

It is remarkable to see everyone growing up so fast! Each day, we are learning about the person we want to become, and experiencing the journey it takes to get there. In life, so much is changing, but it is important to remember that our family is forever. In our lives, we each have our own hurdles and triumphs, but when our family gets together it feels like nothing has changed. The Luster love is unconditional. Continue working toward your goals and making us all proud!
